Dr. Pugach has provided data management and statistical support to multidisciplinary IHRP research teams since 2005.
She earned her doctoral degree in biostatistics from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2012. In her dissertation, Dr. Pugach developed a location-scale mixed-effects model for bivariate continuous outcomes, a relatively new methodology of modeling longitudinal bivariate data with heterogeneous within- and between-subject variances.
Dr. Pugach also holds a master's degree in computer science and has almost 10 years' experience in data management in public health-related projects.
Bivariate mixed-effects location-scale models with specific application to a longitudinal adolescent smoking study. Also multilevel mixed-effects regression models with survey data.
